3.5km swim, 165km bike, 43km run
4,000m highest point
6,500m overall elevation gain
In Nepal we think differently
Scale is different
Perspective is different
The Challenge is different
Are You Different?
Swim
The 3.5km swim will start
at 04.00 at Lake Phewa,
Pokhara. Night swim
and will require
wetsuits. The
water will be about
20 degrees Celsius.
Bike
165km road bike ride
on asphalt. Mostly smooth
surface but some rough
patches. Overall elevation
gain is 3,800m.
T1 is at 800m altitude.
Highest point is 1,740m.
Run
The 43km run is entirely
off-road. T2 starts at 1,740m.
Highest point is 4,000m,
before a descent to the
finish and overnight
at a remote homestay
village at 1,400m.
Nepal embodies the very
definition of the words
extreme and diverse. Home
to the great Himalayas and
8 of the world’s top 10
highest mountains, giant
glaciers, subtropical forests,
and sweeping arid deserts.
It is the birthplace of Buddha
and the fiercest fighting
spirit of the Gurkha soldier.
This race is not about fastest
times. It is about a journey
across a spectacular
landscape. It is about the
people and culture and
Nepali hospitality.
It is about cheering
children calling out Namaste
(I bow to the Divine in you)
as you cycle by.
It is about the closeness of
sharing the day with
your support and crew.
It is about community.
But never forget. This race is
seriously extreme.
Nothing in Nepal is flat!
