Full 11-day travel, accommodation and acclimatisation package is for one athlete and one support. Some bespoke options are available for extra days, for extra support crew or for single athletes. The Full Package includes domestic return flights and transfers, as well as the full list below.
The full 11-day travel, accommodation and acclimatisation package is 2,550 euros and is the total for two people, in addition to the 520 euros race entry fee, so 3,070 euros in total. The Full Package is available to book up to March 31st 2024. Early stage booking will guarantee rooms at the Aloft Marriot in Kathmandu and the Mt Kailash Resort Hotel in Pokhara, opposite the start/T1.
Payment can made for the Full Package at the race entry sign-up stage at RaceID.com, or added separately up to March 31st 2024 by bank transfer after contacting info@himalxtri.com for details.
Full Package Itinerary
Day 1 - Friday May 3rd
International arrival - airport greeting and transfers for 2, plus one night at the Aloft Marriot Hotel in central Kathmandu on a Bed and Breakfast double or twin-room shared basis.
Day 2 - Saturday May 4th
Half-day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu, bike transfer to Pokhara, domestic flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara. Hotel transfers. NIght at the Mt Kailash Resort next to the swim start in Pokhara, Lakeside, on a Bed and Breakfast basis for two people.
Day 3 - Sunday May 5th
Transfer to begin 3-day acclimatisation hike and to review the full run segment of the race. Guided tour, with all permits provided. All meals provided. Trek/run from T2 at Kande (1,740 metres above se level) to Low Camp at 3,000 metres above sea level. Overnight accommodation at Lodge, all bedding is provided.
Day 4 - Monday May 6th
Trek/run to the Viewpoint Turnaround at 4,000m. The opportunity to go higher is available to those who wish. Overnight at High Camp at 3,500 metres above sea level.
Day 5 - Tuesday May 7th
Trek/run from High Camp (opportunity to return to Viewpoint for sunrise) and then down to the race finish at the mountain village of lwang at 1,400 metres above sea level. Transfer back to the Mt Kailash Hotel in Pokhara to overnight.
Day 6 - Wednesday May 8th
Full bike course review by vehicle. Opportunity to take a bike and to ride part of the course. Overnight at the Mt Kailash Hotel.
Day 7 - Thursday May 9th
Social swim in the morning with coffee. Rest Day. Race registration. Overnight at the Mt Kailash Hotel.
Race Day. 04.00 start. Car hire and driver provided from 03.00 in the morning for full race day. Overnight at the homestay village of Lwang. Bedding is provided. Meals provided.
Day 10 - Sunday May 12th
Race finisher ceremony. Transport back to Pokhara. Overnight at Mt Kailash Hotel.
Day 11 - Monday May 13th
Transfer to Pokhara domestic airport. Flight to Kathmandu. All transfers and bike transfers included. Overnight at the Aloft Marriot in Kathmandu. Double or twin room basis, with breakfast.
Tuesday May 14th - Transfers and International Departure
