Kathmandu is the capital of Nepal and the only city in the country currently served by international flights. There are several major hub airports with direct links to Kathmandu, including Istanbul, Doha, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Muscat, New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, Guangzhou, and several others. Most nationalities are able to get a visa on arrival at Kathmandu airport (check before you travel). Prices are currently $45 for 15 days, $60 for 30 days and $120 for 90 days, payable in Nepali rupees (there are ATMs at the arrivals area), or in US dollars or euros.
